The summer break here in Australia is normally a time for relaxing with family and friends. Usually by a beach – long days to unwind after a stressful year.
But not this year.
Monster fires dominating the news, stealing holidays, homes, livelihoods and very sadly in some cases lives as well.
Like many people, you wonder what you can do to help. And the general response across Australia and across the board has been first rate.
Energetiq was introduced to one such initiative by an artist friend, and we’ve jumped at the chance to help out.
“Artists everywhere are invited to help raise funds for the 2020 Gippsland Bushfire Appeal‘ – and Energetiq is proud to be one of the Melbourne CBD drop off points. Full details of the initiative are best found at the Gippsland Art Gallery website.
If you’re an artist looking for a CBD drop off point, we’re super happy to receive your work. We are collating the works, then we’ll liaise with Simon Gregg to have all items shipped to the Gallery.
Our office is located on Level 27, 303 Collins St, and is open from 9am to 5pm on all business days. There are a number of forms / requirements in terms of the artwork, so please make sure you’re familiar with the Gallery’s requirements, all documented on the website. ( we are simply a drop off location, not the organiser! ).
No need to let us know you’re coming in – there’s always someone to receive your work. Please note that the last day for receiving is February 5th.
It’s been an amazing response from the artistic community, and we’re very happy to make our own small contribution to this fantastic initiative by the Gippsland Art Gallery.
